Frequently asked questions
What makes a number plate road legal?
Road-legal plates must be made by a DVLA registered number plate supplier and meet British Standard BS AU 145e: reflective white at the front and yellow at the rear, black characters in the standard font and spacing, and the supplier's name and postcode on the plate. The supplier must also see proof of your identity and your entitlement to the registration before making them.
How long does delivery take?
Plates are made to order once any required documents have been checked. Choose 48-hour delivery for £2.99 or next-day delivery for £4.99 at checkout.
Can my vehicle have classic black and silver plates?
Only if it was built before 1 January 1980 and is registered in the historic vehicle tax class. Vehicles built from 1980 onwards need white and yellow plates, even if they are in the historic tax class.
How can I pay?
We accept PayPal and bank transfer. Orders paid by bank transfer are made once the payment has cleared.
